Hey everyone!
It has been so long since I've written a journal on how things are going.
I have been having a great summer so far with my family and boyfriend, but have been busy trying to plan out my move back to my childhood town. Finally after five years I am done with all my surgeries having to do with my burn injuries. It feels good to have my life back and I plan to try and start taking some college courses come fall.
That is basically what is going on right now.
In the writing spectrum of my life I have started a new story called 'The Human Plague'. After my attempt at fantasy writing my heart wanted me to give zombies another go. The Human Plague is a new story line, but in the same world as The Warm Plague. My goal is to learn more about writing, plot, and grammar. And of course to finish writing this story to the very end. As of right now I have three chapters finished and uploaded. But I am currently editing chapters four and five, and writing the rest. If you get the chance I'd love to know what you think of the story. Even if you don't normally enjoy zombie stories please just give it a shot.
I upload all my stories here on DA and on wattpad.com (which is a site through Fb, so you can leave comments or vote if you have a account through Fb.) Whichever site you follow me on I appreciate you reading my work so so much. It makes me so happy when I find out someone likes my stories!

Chapter One
I inhaled in a deep breath of clean cold air; the scent of pine filled my nostrils. The woods below me were old and undisturbed, one of the few truly untouched forests in America. It looked like a blanket of green, red, and yellow, all spread out far past the horizon.
“The human race is a plague, don’t ya’ agree?” Karen asked.
I looked over my shoulder and raised my eyebrows questioningly at her, “Well, considering most humans now are infected with a plague, that’s kind of a trick question,” I replied, moving back from the cliff and leaning against the hoo

I saw someone moving in the shadows by a nearby car, "Bill?" Robert shouted from behind me most likely seeing the same figure.
"Be quiet." I told him, but as I watched the person come out from behind the car I realized it was too late. One person quickly became five which quickly became ten. I looked around as they shambled from every corner of the street, huddled together. As they heard Roberts healthy non infected voice they looked at us; quickening their walk in our direction.

Dez stuck his crowbar in between the door and wall of the pharmacy, "Give me a hand?" Dez asked me.
I moved next to him grabbing the back of the crowbar and pushing, our combined strength pushing the crowbar in. After a few pushes it finally cracked open, and we all filed in warily. The store was empty of any visible life, eerie in how normal and pristine it looked. The shelves were still stocked with all sorts of things you would expect to be in a pharmacy. I watched Robert walk over to what looked like a fuse box.
"Let's look around before going into the back room." Bill said walking down one

We continued to look down at the women, her blond hair was matted and her skin looked red even under the coating of dirt and blood on it. Her fingers trembled as they moved across her face, I moved towards her slowly.
"She looks like she is infected, do you see a bite?" Dez said.
"I can't tell there's too much dirt on her, but there is a lot blood." I said looking at her skin.
The women twitched around on the ground, it looked as though someone had beaten her up. I could see bruises on her face and chest. Her eyes looked spacey and cloudy; she kept looking around but not focusing on us.

I woke up slowly, scratching my beard and sitting up. The cot room was full of still sleeping people, mostly survivors I didn't know. Standing I looked around and saw Cindy and Camila sleeping in cots on the other side of the room, Cindy's long black hair was braided and decorated with the jewelry I had seen Camila take back at the jewelry store. Opening the thick door I walked out of the room, into the hustle and bustle of the Armory. I shut the door behind me so the noise wouldn't wake anyone.
